Our First Vintage of Chardonnay!

We are thrilled to release SAMsARA Wine Co.’s very first white wines – the 2017 Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay and the 2017 Zotovich Vineyard Chardonnay. We don’t think they could have come out any better!  The 2017 Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay is made with fruit from 4 stellar sites (Kessler-Haak, Zotovich, John Sebastiano and Donnachadh Vineyards) and only 200 cases were produced. The barrels from Zotovich Vineyard were outstanding this year, so we we selected the best four and bottled them as a single vineyard designate Chardonnay.  Both wines are fresh and acid-driven, with texture and richness added from barrel fermentation and lees contact.  No new oak or stainless steel were used, resulting in bright, clean wines that walk the line between acidity and texture.
