We are elated to host a conversation between winemakers Michael Larner and Matt Brady on Thursday, March 11th over ZOOM. Larner Vineyard is a second-generation, family-run vineyard focused on growing Rhône varietals in Ballard Canyon. The carefully tended, certified organic fruit grown on sandy soils by geologist-turned-winemaker Michael Larner is prized in our region and can be found in not only our wines but also those of Paul Lato, Herman Story, Andremily, and others.

Our winemaker, Matt, has worked with Larner Vineyard since 2005 and has been sourcing Grenache from the same blocks since 2009! The relationship between the on-site owner/winegrower/winemaker, Michael Larner, and Matt Brady runs deep and over many years.

We will explore the uniqueness of the site and the history of the vineyard, and the winemakers will taste and contrast each winery’s offering of 2017 Larner Grenache.
